Considering the Practitioners’ as a European platform for peer-to-peer learning and exchange on good development practice among Member State Organisations (MSO) and policy dialogue with the European Commission (DGs INTPA, NEAR and ECHO), this Task Force provides an adequate forum for learning and exchanging in order to advance on gender equality and women’s empowerment.
Launched in 2022, the Gender Equality Task Force was set up to increase mainstreaming and integration of gender perspective in PN’s work through the exchange and provision of best practice examples and knowledge sharing. This exchange and knowledge sharing should be extended based on examples of good practices to other Working Groups, Task Forces and Work Streams of the PN.
In their development cooperation, the European Commission (EC) as well as Member States (MS) prioritise Gender Equality (GE) as a key aspect of human rights and through gender mainstreaming, as a strategic vehicle for achieving the 2030 Agenda and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals (in particular SDG 5).
