All individuals, irrespective of sexual orientation, have a right to make decisions governing their bodies and to access services that support that right. Everyone should also have the right to decide if, when and with whom to have children - free from fear, violence or coercion.
Sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) is a prioritized and central issue in Sweden’s foreign policy and development cooperation, contributing to overarching outcomes of health equity, gender equality, democracy and human rights – all in line with the 2030 Agenda.
We are pleased to hereby invite you to a seminar on this important topic, where representatives of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, Sida and the Regional SRHR-Team for Africa, will present Sweden’s work relating to SRHR, its link to Sweden’s Feminist policy and our regional approach to SRHR in Africa, including results, experiences, opportunities and remaining challenges.
In order to enable as many colleagues as possible to attend, the seminar will be held twice. You can thus choose to participate either on 5 November at 14.30-16.00 or on 6 November at 09.00-10.30.
On both days, the seminar will be held at the Swedish Permanent Representation, Square de Meeûs 30. The programme will be the same on both occasions.
Please confirm your attendance, including which day you will attend, to Sandra Jalalian (firstname.lastname@example.org) no later than 14.00 hrs on Monday 4 November.
