THE WORKSHOP
The concept of ‘working better together’ emphasises the opportunity for increased influence and impact by collaborating in a more strategic and collaborative manner, both within the EU and its MS as well as with our other partners. Closer cooperation and coordination between EU and the Member States is now an imperative for us in light of the current global context.
The Practitioners Network already contributes to the EU political agenda of ‘working better together’ and is a strategic partner for the European Commission.
The issue of inclusiveness within the European aid architecture has increasingly received a collective attention, in particular through the New European Consensus for Development, and in line with 2030 Agenda and SDG 17.
The workshop is composed around two objectives: to foster participation of more EU Member State organisations in joint implementation and to demonstrate the benefits of ‘working better together’ for more impact in development.
Participants of the inclusiveness workshop (17th February, 2020) hosted by the European Commission are made up of technical and policy experts and EU Member State organizations working on development cooperation.
The 17th February workshop will deal specifically with implementation opportunities and challenges experienced by EU MS organisations working together in the field and look into issues of the implementation of EIP in development and neighbourhood countries.
The Workshop is being organised by the European Commission in cooperation with the Practitioners Network.
